Cooperation with the introduction of BioSilver47 and Clean+Safe systems
For the safety of children – innovation in healthcare
Hygiene is more important than ever in healthcare facilities. Bethesda Children's Hospital, which treats patient safety as a top priority, has decided to take its disinfection practices to a new level. The introduction of the BioSilver47 Clean+Safe system not only makes hygiene operations more effective, but also more sustainable – especially when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable patients, children.
Long-lasting protection on all affected surfaces
As part of the project, numerous frequently used hospital devices – such as hospital beds, IV stands, wheelchairs, nurse call buttons, elevator buttons, and soap dispensers – were given a durable, self-disinfecting coating. These surfaces, treated with ReSilver technology, actively protect against bacteria, viruses, and fungi 24 hours a day for up to 6–12 months with a single application.
Three technologies – one common goal
Three BioSilver47 solutions work together to provide comprehensive protection in hospitals:
- MaxProtect: UV-resistant, fast-drying, antimicrobial coating that provides long-term protection for hard surfaces.
- DefendTouch: Customizable self-disinfecting stickers for the most frequently touched areas (door handles, elevator buttons), which also visually communicate hygiene protection.
- SafeCover: Special textile impregnation that protects hospital textiles – such as gowns and upholstery – from pathogens and unpleasant odors for up to 50 washes.
More than disinfection – setting an example in sustainability
The Clean+Safe system is not only hygienic, but also an environmentally and socially progressive solution. The chemical-free, long-lasting technology does not require daily re-treatment, significantly reducing water and chemical consumption as well as the workload of healthcare workers.
With this step, Bethesda Children's Hospital is also setting an example in ESG-compatible operations, as it protects the environment, serves the health of the community, and supports efficient management all at once.
Summary
The collaboration between BioSilver47 and Bethesda Children's Hospital clearly demonstrates that the hygiene solutions of the future will not only be more effective, but also more sustainable and conscious. By introducing the Clean+Safe system, the hospital is not only responding to current hygiene challenges, but also setting a long-term, innovative example for the entire healthcare sector.
